After the eath quake are you suprised about the? strong winds we are experiencing?

You are a meteorological genius.

Earthquakes always affect air pressure.

(Irony)

The only speculation (put forward by a man named Namias) lacks any realistic theory to explain how pressure patterns might indirectly trigger the release of stress built up along faults. He speculates, however, that pressure systems may generate winds or changes in sea level that could indirectly set off quakes.

But please note that this is BEFORE a quake and is merely speculation about the San Andreas fault in California. 67% 2 Votes

  • Yes and no ! It is normal for the weather to get windy around January- March. I know this because for the last 3 -4 years bits of my fence and gates have blown down.

I%26#039;m not sure how the earthquake affects the land and sea. 0% 0 Votes

  • We had strong winds the night of the earthquake and when it happened we thought the wind had blown the chimney stack off - till we realised we%26#039;d heard no crashing sound! Then we thought it was just a tremor from old mine workings until our next door neighbour text us to tell us her mother had felt it 150 miles away!

Penny dropped then. 33% 1 Vote
