• This may sound too simple. But, I use the TV Guide that comes in the Sunday Paper. When I get the new Sunday Paper, I use the TV Guide from the last week for this week%26#039;s Mouse Pad. It%26#039;s perfect. I also have a firepit that doubles as a bbq grill. I use the last week%26#039;s Sunday Paper in the firepit to get the fire started for the charcoal. So, I don%26#039;t have to use toxic firestarter. Also, you can make newspaper logs out of old newspapers and store them in a really dry place for the winter. Then, burn them in your fireplace for heat/kindling. Works great! Also, I take my truck around the area and pick up loose brachlets that have fallen in yards and tree pruning remnants for use in my fireplace as well. • I have seen mouse mats made out of recycled tyres and recycled polystyrene.
  Basically make one out of something that is normally thrown away!
