Anybody know some good ideas for a 14 yr. old to do for the summer? no kiddie stuff please.. :-)

you could get a part-time job. that would give you money to go to the movies often, the mall, and theme parks with your friends. 100% 1 Vote

• Find some activity that the fourteen year old is interested in and find a volunteer job doing it. They could probably work along side any number of people at the food bank, or at the hospital helping entertain little kids that are stuck there or visiting other teens that are having to stay in the hospital. Contact your local hospital for ideas. They could volunteer to clean up grafitti, or to sell chocolates for a good cause- it really depends on their interests.
  
  Maybe they could go to toastmasters and learn to make speeches, visiting a different toastmasters group very week- the groups tend to be more laid back in the summer. Summer schools or daycamps might appreciate someone to help with crafts and activities. Church camps are another possibility too. Find out if your city or community has a mentoring program for attracting young people into civic government.
  
  If they like board/video games they could offer to be a sales trainee at a games store/gaming place. What does your 14 year-old like to do? What are his/her interests?
  
  Libraries sometimes will take on a youngster and use them to put books back on the shelves. They pay money too.

• Do you have elderly neighbors who could use help in their home or yards? You could volunteer at a youth center or senior center. Read books to kids at the library. Think about what you might want to do when you finish school. Depending on your choices there are many opportunities to learn job skills as a volunteer. If there is a hospital nearby you could be a %26quot;candy striper%26quot;. • well...starting summer is no fun! You wait the whole year to get out of school...and when you do you regret looking foward to it! Im 14 years old and so far my vaction has been boring!
  You should try to go swimming...Fitness center.....Club (dancing, Tap etc) Just call up your people and go out and buy yourself something(s) lol

• got a boyfriend? if so hang with him. if not going to the beach and if you are like me you have 16 yr. old friends and you should have him/her take you on a boat with a bunch of friends... unless your parents wont let you 0% 0 Votes
