Not since Roman times. Supposedly they valued the Caledonian bears as beng particularly ferocious in their areans etc.

im afraid not...like most of the wildlife they have become extinct now....killed off for sport back in the middle ages

The only bears left are the Teddy Bears, they inhabit a part of Glasgow called Ibrox.

I live in the Scottish Highlands near Drumnadrochit and I can honestly say, hand on heart, that there are no bears up here but the people who surface the roads are called Bear Scotland! No joke - it%26#039;s true!

There was one named %26quot;Hercules%26quot; on the Isle of Benbecula, who used to wrestle Mr Andy Robin. Andy was the better wrestler, but, Hercules was the better looking!
