Are there any limits to commingled recyclables? What can%26#039;t you throw in a container for mixed recyclables?

Best Answer

In terms of what gets recycled, oil is supposed to be recycled and some places pick up oil and refrigerators and so forth. I don%26#039;t think any commingled recycling would include anything like that, and the County would much rather have other large items separate because they damage the trucks. Usually paper, plastic and glass bottles, and aluminum and steel cans, as well as paper, are commingled. Some bins might require only bottles and other combinations, but reclamation plants are more widespread and here where I live the ones I just mentioned are allowed in the dumpster-sized commingled recyclable bins.
