Auto and heterotrophic? HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

which is the plant ....have both autotrophic and heterotrophic characters?????

Autotrophic means you make your own energy, usually by photosynthesizing (Although there are chemosynthesizing bacteria in deep sea vents). Examples of this include plants and cyanobacteria.

Heterotrophic means you get your energy by eating other things, so that would be things like animals and fungi.

  • Mistletoe, eyebright and other semi-parasitic plants will produce their own chlorophyll and photosyntesize, but mineral nutrients are %26quot;stolen%26quot; from the sap of the host plant.

Carnivorous plants are also not totally autotrophic.

I hope that is what you are after. Otherwise there might be a cuscuta species which is partly autotrophic, but I can%26#039;t be sure about that. 0% 0 Votes
