I just recently graduated from high school and am having a hard time picking a major. I have a passion for environmental stuff, so definitely an environmental major. I don%26#039;t want an ordinary %26quot;green collar job,%26quot; I actually want to travel the world and make a difference. I would definitely go into environmental engineering, but alas I suck at math a lot, so I can%26#039;t go into engineering. I don%26#039;t want to major in environmental science because I hate the researching aspect of it. I like green technology but I just can%26#039;t think of a major that will land me a worth while job working in the green technology field. Btw, I really want to travel the world and help developing counteries and just really make a difference even if its a small one. I don%26#039;t know, I%26#039;m willing to major in anything will allow me to do so. I%26#039;ve done extensive research but still haven%26#039;t come across anything. Please, please help me think of something. I really need your help. thanks

• These sound like excellent questions for a guidance counselor. Have you already decided which school you want to go to? If you have, you should check out the Environmental sciences department. I know all of the departments at the University I attended have professionals dedicated to helping students find their best niche in whatever program they decide to go into. Even if you aren%26#039;t interested in environmental science, the people there can probably point you in a better direction since they know the whole environmentalist discipline better than most.
