  • In theory, yes. Distillation will work. In practice, you might not find it to be economically feasible. That is why, in 1977, Saudi Arabia was seriously considering a French scheme to tow an Antarctic iceberg into the Red Sea to provide them with drinking water. Luckily, someone had an attack of common sense. Unluckily, nobody built a solar distillation plant to do the same thing in the area that gets more insolation than anywhere else on Earth. 0% 0 Votes
  • yep for the most part....irradiated (radioactive) water may not be treatable but I%26#039;d say almost every type is 0% 0 Votes
