Can any gems be found in a river or little stream? i am going to a river with some of my familly to swim in but i want to know if i can find any gems in the little river i already know it contains gold but i want to know if i can find any gems.

Gems are precious stones that are mined from rock. Gems that are set into jewelry are cut and shaped and polished. The odds of finding gems in a river are super slim. And you wouldn%26#039;t recognise it. It would look like an ordinary rock. Unless someone just happened to loose a necklace or a ring that wasn%26#039;t washed away by the current....

• In a stream I have found quartz that is white or clear and it makes nice jewelry. I don%26#039;t know of others in yours since it contains gold.
