Can you run a home entirely on solar power in New York? If yes, what would be the approximate cost for a 4-bedroom, 3000 sq. foot home yet to be built? Are there state grants and/or tax benefits available in NY to fund such a project?

Thanks, mande, for your eye-opening answer!

While I do care about the environment, that is not the only reason I am considering solar power. The land I am thinking to build a home on has a 600-foot long driveway, so it will cost tens of thousands of dollars anyway to connect to municipal utilities... maybe perhaps not as much as solar, but if it%26#039;s not a giant difference, it might be worth it to invest in solar power. The third reason is long-term savings. With the rising cost of oil, wouldn%26#039;t it be more cost-effective over the long-term to use solar energy? • I suggest an underground atomic reactor at the place of 9/11
It makes whole urban New York even brighter nighttime at the expense of half what is now. 0% 0 Votes
