Do you believe this?
My friend told me that in 2012 we are all going to burn to death she said that they have proved it. Now i cant stop thinking about it so much to where i get depressed and want to cry. Do you think that we will all die in 2012 or is it a myth?

No the main reason people think the world will end in 2012 is because the Mayan calender rolls over in that year (Dec 21). This will be (by Mayan reckoning) the start of the fifth age of man. Many people try to sell books or gain fame by saying the world will end on that day but that is like saying our civilization predicts the end of the world Jan 31 2009 because that is the last day on my current calender. Just like Y2K it gets blown completely out of proportion. Relax and grow old.

Hmm, unusual friend..and who are %26#039;they%26#039;? The Mayan, Chinese, Aboriginal, and no doubt several other %26#039;people%26#039; including Nostradamus have predicted that there is supposed to be a time of change, not the end. People seem to take things too literally and scaremongering on a hypotheses or possible prediction is an excellent means to sell a few books. Its always better to be freethinking and make your own mind up. The end of the world has been predicted to happen many times in the past, the day came and went without any eventful happenings...I%26#039;d say that in December 2012 the same thing is likely. Life%26#039;s too short to begin with so don%26#039;t waste precious time worrying over what could happen, when it most likely wont. It%26#039;s much better to live for the day %26#039;today%26#039; and enjoy it.

There is no way anyone could be that specific, not even a scientist. There is no way to know there is going to be a natural disaster of that magnitude or a non-natural disaster that would cause that much destruction. She is WRONG and you need to stop worrying!

This is a popular hoax based on the Mayan calender. There is absolutely no evidence or credibility to the belief. Stop worrying, and don%26#039;t listen to gullible people.

Ask her where she got this information.
Anything, of course, is possible. However, this seems not to be very credible.
Burn from what? If it%26#039;s a hole in the ozone layer or something like that, then no... this is not true.

%26quot;They%26quot; also said that about Y2K.
And we%26#039;re still here.
If this is your biggest worry, then consider yourself lucky. Others are worried about starving to death or being probed by aliens. . .

i thought we were gonna be dying in 2036 because of some huge meteor?????????? i dont think the 2012 one is true, dont worry.

Don%26#039;t be silly. The world ended on 6/6/6. We%26#039;re all figments of your imagination now.
