Do you grow any of your own fruit or vegetables?

Best Answer

Yep, lettuce, tomatoes, parsley, basil, silverbeet (chard do you call it in the US?), corriander, mint...all that stuff grows really easily and it%26#039;s the type of thing you just pick a bit when you want it and it just grows back (esp. chard and parsely).

That way, no packaging, no transport, no chemicals required, straight from garden to your mouth, still full of nutrients and flavour!

And maybe it%26#039;s uncool, but I really enjoy watching it all grow too, REALLY enjoy, dunno why! I%26#039;d like to grow more but I only have a 3 foot by 7 foot balcony to work with...one day!

  • yes, of course! we have our own vegetable garden in our backyard!! every summer we grow tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, peppers, beans and squash and potatoes. Everything - I GUARANTEE - everything tastes SO MUCH BETTER when it%26#039;s home grown!

    hope I helped!!

  • Yes most of them. We only have to buy extra in winter or if it is particularly bad season. There is nothing like fruit straight from the tree or vegetables you have just dug up five minutes ago.
  • I grow my own herbs, but not vegetables. And by herbs, I really do mean herbs, not drugs.
    Like oregano, thyme, parsley!
  • I grow corn, tomatoes, and peppers in my garden every summer... I%26#039;ve also got a peach tree, a nectarine tree, a golden delicious apple tree, a granny smith apple tree, and a cherry tree that has five varieties grafted onto it - Bing, Royal Ann, Lapin, Van Sweet, and Ranier...
