Does Calphalon LRS LRS3 %26quot;nonstick%26quot; surface contain PTFE/Teflon? I%26#039;ve searched everywhere whether or not Calphalon%26#039;s hard-anodized aluminum nonstick (or stick-resistant) coating contains Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), also known by its trademark name Teflon. I%26#039;ve contacted the company, and all they said is that the process is an oxidation process where aluminum is submerged in acid (etc.).

I also found in another site that some of the cookware conatain a nonstick compound called LRS and LRS3. From the Calphalon site, they are described as %26quot;LRS and LRS3 nonstick coatings - two of the most advanced nonstick formulas available today - are made from synthetic polymers.%26quot; But, they did not specify what the end synthetic polymers are. However, PTFE is also a synthetic polymer?!

Does anyone have insight about this?
