Eco-Water - Just wondering...? I know this going to sound little weird, but if you saw a hour-glass shaped, almost emptied, water bottle someone left on the table, and this bottle reads ,

%26quot;Eco-Shaped bottle Is made with 30% less plastic...%26quot;

What would you think? Would you think nothing? or ...

Oh, marvin0258, only you would answer like that. I wondered how many people will actually buy just because it said %26quot;Eco...30% less%26quot;. If they are that concerned, make nothing, buy nothing. Obviously, global warming lobbying is successful otherwise there won%26#039;t be a target marketing. I wondered how many people really believe global warming.

Great marketing! When marketing folks see profit in touting environmental benefits, you know they are %26quot;with the program.%26quot;

Sort of %26quot;glass half full%26quot; thinking.

On the other hand, I wouldn%26#039;t trust any mathematical calculations that originated in a marketing department, and using plastic for drinking water when glass is the preferred standard doesn%26#039;t make much sense.

(Water stored in plastic acquires the taste of plastic.)

  • Beyond a desire for water that you can reasonably believe is clean... the rest is tripe.
  • I%26#039;d think a cylinder is the most economical shape, other than a sphere for conservation of material for a given volume and think its just some stupid marketing ploy by whatever company sold the container.
  • Well 30% less plastic relative to what?

    A normal plastic bottle of the same size?
    If you want to maximize volume given a surface fixed surface area the bottle would be shaped like a sphere, not an hour glass.

    SO the bottle must use LESS plastic in that sense.

    The only way which the statement they said to be true is that they use recycled plastic in the bottle, of course again this is not less plastic, this is less NEW plastic.
  • I would probably be happy that it is made with less plastic and with their efforts and going green.
  • I would think the bottle contains less plastic regardless of its shape.Dah!
  • they r Eco friendly in the sense that ....
    1. made up of less plastic
    2. they r made up of reusable plastic
    researches r going to made biodegradable and eatable plastic from plants by genetic engineering
