Enviromental education works?
I think it is all matter of Economics, of Society struggling to optimize and increase its technology, I dont think that a bunch of ******* recycling a couple of cans will save the world.

You just need to look at history to realize that environmental education works. It works particularly well alongside legislation too. Look at some of the issues, deforestation of rainforests, illegal logging, the fur trade, fox hunting, whole range of chemicals have been banned, ivory poaching, etc etc.

its not a matter of recycling a bunch of f****ing cans. it is about waste and how much we have as a society. manufacturers are making products with a limited lifespan intentionally. these products, such as printers/ toner(it is cheaper to buy a new printer than to replace the ink/toner cartridges in a lot of cases) wind up in a landfill somewhere polluting the water you have to drink. if people were more aware of where their trash goes they would consider recycling a must. this is not even touching on the responsible citizen-moral obligation issue. if you can only see the aluminum can bit, you arent seeing the whole picture. the preservation of natural resources is a larger issue. if you really want to know why you should recycle or at least shop smartly, check out the www.mcdonough.com/cradletocradle.com there is alot more than recycling that can and is being done. the more you know, the less you don%26#039;t.
