Environmentalists what are your views on human population growth and migration from poor to rich countries?

Population would even itself out if the poor people of the world had access to knowledge and birth control .... all western nations - as they get richer - eventually reduce down to 2 or fewer children for each family.

Our world could sustain itself now if we leveled off the population number - that would allow people to be parents - and better parents as they would have more time for each child.

I don%26#039;t know enough about the impact of poor / rich migration to speak on it much - other than that the less abject poverty - the less crime, the less pollution, the more stable things get - so it is in everyone%26#039;s interest to pull people out of the gutter. I still think we need a system in place that rewards hard work and such - but we certainly don%26#039;t need abject poverty. 50% 2 Votes
