How can I get rid of old thermometers and TV bulbs that contain Mercury? The guy who owned the house before us had a stash of them in the garage. I want to get rid of them but there is a lot! I was hoping for an earthday drop off this year but they didn%26#039;t have one!! Where else can I get rid of them at? I have like a hundred of them so I am afriad if I take it to a somewhere they would want me to pay to get rid of them.

I am in Philadelphia if that helps.

I called the city and they didn%26#039;t know!!!

It is very convenient because you do not need to leave your house or call around to find someplace to take them! http://veoliaes-ts.com/RecyclePak
  • look for a hazardous waste disposal site most cities have them contact the waste management section of the city they should know or look in the yellow pages for hazardous waste disposal
  • Contact your local Dept of Public Works. They should have locations that take it.
