Try to think of something positive about the move. Maybe the fixing up could be a way to personalize the new place...Take comfort that you will be in a familiar area, you just have a new space to adjust to... not a new city or state. Yeah, moving isn%26#039;t always exciting, as in finding a space you think is the best, but after awhile, you%26#039;ll find it%26#039;s okay. My husband and I moved from a 5 bedroom house we could no longer afford rent on to a 2 bedroom duplex in nearly the same area... it was smaller and not a straight wall to be had, but we got used to it. Then we moved to a 3 bedroom in another state... we really like this house and plan to stay here some time. personal experience. You just have to see your stuff in the new place.. that will help a lot.

Do some fix-up work. Paint your room or put in some new shelves. Stuff like that. You%26#039;ll not only make the place a better place to live in, your sense of pride in your accomplishments will make you feel more at home.
