All pointing at this point in time as being the End of the show.
Although some predictions merely meant the End of the Age or Era of Pisces and the birth of Aquarius.
In the past we have had prophesies of doom. from Nostradamus , the Aztecs, Incas, Toltecs,Mayas,and the Egyptians allegedly even Jesus
More recently from every scientific body on the planet .In the News papers,Television and all the disaster movies .
No doubt to prepare us for the inevitable , or is it a ruse so that we will pay more taxes.?
They say GLOBAL WARMING is happening and that it is gathering momentum.
We are melting at both ends of the world
There are forecasts that the seas are going to rise ,and reports that its rising already .
A lot of major cities will be flooded .
If Nibiru decides to show up on schedule,The effects of its close pass to earth is expected to give us tidal waves, earth quakes and probably exploding volcanoes. And that is supposed to happen in 2012,

What happens to the life on the planet remains to be seen.
I think the nuclear war may be the best bet.

Pollution: That%26#039;s why the ozone layer is burning up and every year is getting hotter during the summer. We%26#039;re eventually going to run out of places to throw our trash (landfills). Not to mention the ice caps are melting rapidly.
Future generations: Notice how more people want to become some sort of celebrity (singer, actor, etc.) rather than be a geneticist or a pharmacist? Some young people do shoot to be a doctor or scientist, but don%26#039;t forget that a lot give up along the way to an easier path or some don%26#039;t believe they can come up with a cure.
Diseases: Associated with our future generations in which very few people will be finding a cure.

It really just depends on what your definition of the world ending.
If you are thinking all life on earth, then probably from global warming, mass over population and starvation do to lack of crops and such. Not to mention the fact that the icebergs also are %26quot;supposed%26quot; to melt, which would be a BAD thing for us;)
If you are thinking the planet itself then my guess would be when the sun implodes into a super nova thing... I think that what it turns into? Either way it blows up :) And because we are so close, so do we and all the other planets. Another possibility is that a giant meteor hits earth, that would take us down too lol.

Hmm i%26#039;ve got a theory...Edward Cayce said that long ago humans had the ability to live at higher levels with different mental abilities and stuff, and i think it was him who predicted the return of atlantis. there will also be a magnetic shift.
i believe that the new age the mayan predicted will be one where we have significantly increased mental capacity and powers...

If we have a collision with a significant rock, we are likely to all die, or most of us. That could be instantaneous, or earth could drop out of orbit and into a tight spiral around the sun. We would stand only a very slight risk of falling directly into the sun, but it would not matter, we would all be crispy critters.
This is not likely to happen this decade. -
i too don%26#039;t know but probably i think that time all the natural calamity will occur simultaneously %26amp; if u r up to date to the news channel then u must b knowing that it is going to happen in 2012.If it is so then surely we all r going to die so better cross our fingers.

it will end with a whimper. Because of the pollution caused by mankind they will lose the ability to reproduce. and that will ultimately lead to the end of the world as we know it.
