How easily are Clay and Chalk eroded?
Best Answer
Very easily as they are both sedimentary, very fine particles which allow water in between the particles and so dissolve (although technically they just go into solution, they are still seperate to the water).Clay is a soil constituent with tiny particles and chalk is a sedimentary rock. Metamorphic and igneous rocks are more resistant to weathering (breaking down) and erosion (movement) as they form through immense pressure and heat, although different types have different strengths etc.

easily, as clay is soft and may wash or rub away. chalk is also soft and may crumble or erode quickly. xx
