Best Answer

hydro as in electricity or as in hydro electric generation
hydro EG is the conversion of fast flowing water through turbines turning a generation coil to make electricity in a nutshell
hydro can be electricity made from a variety of sources from wind.water,coal,nuclear,solar.Wind water solar would be the best forms of hydro as they come from renewable resources
Ethanol that is made from grain based crops will be the last for this world when we start using food sources for fuel we doom ourselves,if it is processed from waste materials or non commercial crops than there is a chance but it still seems to cost or use as much to make as it does to grow it needs to be better fine tuned to be Eco friendly

  • hydroelectric power is generated by water flowing through turbines. It too damages the environment most notably in fish habitat. But sometimes dams may be needed for flood control so if they also generate electricity good.
Ethanol requires the use of power to make it. If corn is used for the sugar source it has been said that it takes more energy to make a gallon of ethanol than you get from it. They running of tractors and use of fertilizers are just 2 of the energy drains from growing the corn in the first place. There are other things such as heat to distill the alcohols etc.
