I used to live in Alaska where in the summer around Solstice (June 21) it%26#039;s light a whole heck of a lot. In the Northern latitudes you can literally chase the sun because the latitudinal lines are so close together. I%26#039;d say it would get dark around 2am and light around 4am. Basically it%26#039;s light the entire day. The sun rises and sets in basically the same place during the summer too. It just does a strange eliptical in the sky so you can never look at the sun and say %26quot;oh, it must be noon%26quot;. I was always able to sleep but they say Alaskans get the least amount of sleep in the country in the summer because your body just doesn%26#039;t want to shut down. I would be vacuuming at midnight and not even know that it was bedtime. I%26#039;d be full of energy until it was really late. And of course the opposite in the Winter. I would sleep a LOT!

In the UK around this time in April, the sun usually rises at 6.30 AM and sets at around 7.30 PM, in the winter however, the sun usually sets at around 4-4.30 PM! I hate it in the summer when you%26#039;re trying to get to sleep and its still light outside = /...
