Well, i don%26#039;t care to tell the truth, as long as it gives me light.I hear in 2010 in Australia incandescent light bulbs are going to be banned, that%26#039;s going to be inconvenient lol.
I guess florescent then. 67% 2 Votes

Almost everything in my house right now is fluorescent, except for the one light on a dimmer switch -- waiting for the technology to improve on those dimmer-capable fluorescents I%26#039;m starting to see before I switch those over as well. I wish they%26#039;d also start putting the daylight type (see below) inside the enclosed globes, etc that look more %26quot;normal%26quot;. . . not seeing those yet at all in my area.
My two favorite things about fluorescents besides the obvious lower energy costs:
1) You can put brighter/more bulbs in without exceeding the stated wattage maximum. . . and usually *still* be using less energy than before.
2) I love those newer %26quot;daylight%26quot; fluorescent bulbs -- the ones that are sort of bluish instead of yellowish -- and so do my plants.
Just be sure you%26#039;re disposing of those old fluorescent bulbs properly and not just putting them in our landfills as-is. You%26#039;ll notice there%26#039;s a little note on them that says they contain Hg (mercury). . . and we don%26#039;t really need that leaching out into the environment any more than we can avoid it. 33% 1 Vote -
Fluorescent light bulb! It costs more, but it lasts longer and is more energy efficient.
