he said we can go snorkling there, theres trees all around with a rope to swing and jump in the water, but hes also cought big fish and turtles when he fished. is that okay, if i swin can a turtle bite me?

• Have someone do a water quality test on it. You can call the Dept. of Conservation or Natural Resources and ask them for infomation. They usually know where it is safe to swim. They also usually provide information about where it is safe to eat the fish you catch and where it is dangerous. 0% 0 Votes
• Should be no problem from the fishes and turtles. I have caught snappers by feeling for them in the mud with my bare feet. They don%26#039;t bite when you step on them and are unlikely to think of you as food. The only fish I wouldn%26#039;t swim with is Urinophilus and that is restricted to the Amazon Basin. 25% 1 Vote
• YES! practically every body of water has fish in it. I swim in a lake with snapping turtles, water snakes and tons of fish. Just as long as you don%26#039;t step on a turtle you should be fine. Oh and don%26#039;t skinny dip if there are snapping turtles around. 0% 0 Votes

  Generally, turtles don%26#039;t bite people when they are swimming. The only times I have seen turtles bite were when kids were poking around snapping turtles *trying* to get them to bite. ;) 0% 0 Votes
