Yes,the local street lights are interupting the nesting for our turles and they are confused from the draw of the light,thinking it is the moon.The hatchlings are being killed by the traffic and tourist are riding on the mothers backs.All in all it is not a good idea to build too close to a beach,there should be a strict law but money talks and so we suffer some more gulf shores alabama

  But the bulk comes from far away ,from all the towns that are on the river ,that ends at the beach and lagoons
