Male turtles and female turtles I need to know what a female turtle looks like and wat a male turtle looks like. I have to turtles and i need to know. I also need to know how u can tell if the female turtle is gonna lay eggs or not.

The only general rule is that the vent of an adult male is beyond the carapace (upper shell) when the tail is held straight back. If the vent is under the carapace, you have a female or an immature male. There are other ways to tell but they work only on certain species. 100% 3 Votes
