National Grid - how much for a disconnection? I have just been told that it will cost £1,293 to have a gas pipe disconnected from a house that is due for demolition. I think this is excessive, just to dig a hole and cut off a pipe. Is this the usual cost?

Offer it to a fire dept. to practice on. Someone will think of turning off the gas before lighting it up, probably. If not, it will be a good show. 100% 1 Vote
