Northern Black Widow Female? What spider is this?PLEASE HELP!? I live in NY, near West Babylon and such and there is a spider in our bathroom (mom accidentally left the window open). I%26#039;m like deathly afraid of spiders so I didn%26#039;t touch it or look at it too long. It used to be on the side of the outside door to our house(only at night). The web was very complex and big. I don%26#039;t know much, but the spider has like red stripes I think. What can I do to get rid of it!?!!? PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF IT! IM AFRAID!

I can%26#039;t find the spider so no picture people sorry... It%26#039;s somewhere in the bathroom. I left the light on right outside the bathroom. I don%26#039;t know if it helps or not

• The black widow is small, shiny black with a red hourglass shape on the underside. I have never seen one go inside, but I guess they could. I doubt it is a poisonous spider, but I heard it is bad luck to kill one inside, so maybe you can catch it, I would in a piece of tissue, then throw the tissue outside. Or you can put a glass or cup over it, slide a piece of paper under the cup, so it is trapped and let it go outside. 0% 0 Votes
