Question about the fires near Big Sur? I%26#039;ve been hearing about these wildfires going on in Cali right now, the last thing i heard was that there was one fire about a mile away from big sur and they had to close down parts of PCH1 to fight it

i%26#039;ve only been to Cali once on vacation, but i went to just about every park in that area, i%26#039;ve never been to a more beautiful place in my life, it was indescribable

i just wanna know if anyone has any idea how bad the damage is? i plan on going back and i really wanna visit that area again, hopefully its not too bad

You should the information you asked about at that link. Most fire related sites are down right do to over loading. We have close to one thousand fires actively burning here in California. Most were caused by lightning.
Because of the dry conditions, I would expect most of Los Padres National Forset to closed at least until November. So I would suggest check out the status of where you planning are going. Keep in mind that our fire session runs until November normally.
