Rainforest? Does anybody know what are some limiting facters of the rainforest?

sunlight - photosynthesis
temperature - speed up the rotting of the dead
water/moist - moist will be absorbed by the leaves so the water don%26#039;t have to travel so far from the roots
free spaces - need places to grow
animals/pests - if they would stop eating the new sprouts
nutrients - how deep is the nutrients in the soil

• I can think of 2 off the top of my head - sunlight (those big trees block out most of it) and nutrients. The speed in which dead plant material and animals are recycled into the food chain is amazingly fast compared to other ecosystems.
