it closes up in the spring and opens in the winter. the ozone layer above the arctic thins out in our winter too, and still is. i understand it will take more than a decade for the phenomenum to comletely cease, maybe as much as 50 years.

i dont know about the arctic ozone this year, but the sun feels quite harsh when it is shining. it polished off 2 inches of snow in a couple of hours here the other day. 0% 0 Votes
  • The ozone hole was a threat in the 1970%26#039;s, the appropriate steps were taken internationally, the hole began to close as was hoped. It should be entirely closed in another decade or so. I%26#039;m not sure what your point is supposed to be. It%26#039;s a good example of how humans can cause a global problem.
