obviously when i say it comes through the door it is open. It is summer and i enjoy the fresh air, but even with it shut it just comes in the air intake for the air condition)I am not being hypersensitive. I have been home all day and they have been out there for going on 12 hours now. They study outside. I can hear every word they say. That isn%26#039;t nearly as annoying as the smoke.

I have heard of people losing lawsuits for secondhand smoke. I also heard of a woman losing custody of her kids because she smoked. Unless you want to make it a federal issue there%26#039;s not much you can do. You each have a right to live in peace and comfort, but where do you draw the line?Nothing sucks worse than living near someone you can%26#039;t get along with. You can try talking with them nicely and just say, %26quot;Hey, I know you smoke and that%26#039;s fine, but do you think you can be mindful of where it goes? It comes right in my window and I can%26#039;t stand it%26quot;, and see how that goes. Be cool about it because if you%26#039;re a prick about it you may as well talk to a tree. If you confront them, be prepared to go to war.
Or, you can try the apt. manager. If they come to them with an anonymous complaint it may go a little smother. It%26#039;s a50/50 situation. When living in apartments you have to have a little bit of give and take. Good luck!! 67% 2 Votes

It doesn%26#039;t seem possible to me that the smoke can get in through your sliding doors and stink up your sofa and your clothes. I think you%26#039;re being a bit over-reactive in this situation, but if not - call the board of health. What have you got to lose.

Move. you are just hypersensetive.
Well you can return the favor by playing some music that they don%26#039;t like and waiting for them to complain, then you two can have it out.
