Over-population.
Overuse of land %26amp; resources (aka land degradation)
Climate change

An asteroid would be detected and its thought its possible to divert its path away from earth. (Forget blowing it up, diverting it would be safer.)
War is a constant in human history. Wars will continue to be fought, but much like the ones we currently see on our TVs rather than the nuclear strikes of 1960s planning.

But the pressures of a growing world population are likely to result in many of the biggest threats. Its estimated that by 2050 another 3 billion people (equivalent to 2 more China%26#039;s) will have been added to the current population figure of 6 billion. Half as many again. Feeding, clothing, housing, supplying energy etc to that many people may be too big a challenge.

• Out of all of those things, an asteroid collision is probably the biggest threat. Global warming doesn%26#039;t exist, weapons of mass destruction could maybe dent the earth but not destroy it.

• if we all think in a way we all head in that direction,the universe has to pick some method of carrying out our wishes even though they are destructive.so the biggest threat to the world is negative thinking!

  the United Nations even said that other than Nuclear threat the # 1 threat to our continued existance is over population.. they placed a sustainable level as being 5 Billion...
