What Is The Best Way To Dispose of Old Computer Parts? My basement is filled with my brothers old computer stuff, like video cards, motherboards, hard drives, things like that. What is the best way to get rid of those things? Can you throw them in a recycling bin or should they go in the trash or what?

freecycle.org especially if they still work, people will take just about anything. you can find a local group and then get and give stuff. it is really easy. freecycle.org 67% 2 Votes

  1. If the Computor is in working Condition. Donate to a Poor Children or School or those who needy
  
  2. If the Computor is damaged/not working sent it for Recycle only thro local scrap Vendor. From my self. I am donating Old/Unused Books/Bags/Cloth/Towel/soaps/Coconut Oil to poor Children.

• The proper way is to recycle not to blow my own whistle but I work for Waste Management Inc we have a subsidarary company called Recycle America and you can get its info on www.wm.com they recycle witihn the U.S.A and I believe they have zero residual waste. 0% 0 Votes
• Look up a local electronic recycling center in your area. The computer can be stripped down and many of the parts can be reused. If there is nothing, ask a local school if they would like them. 0% 0 Votes

• sometimes if u go on apple.com, there%26#039;s a place where u can send stuff via mail and they%26#039;ll recycle it for u. i cant remember if it said only apple tech or if it wuz for any gently used tech. i dont kno, go on the site and see. 0% 0 Votes
• California has a recycling program where you take the stuff to an electronics recycler and pay a small fee. But...I found out that this %26quot;hazardous%26quot; stuff is being shipped (the fees go to pay for the shipping) to China and India and little children are being put to bust up the stuff and take out the copper/gold and other valuable metals..How%26#039;s that for being environmentally conscious? • GUESS WHAT??? I keep seeing advertisements on the TV that Goodwill takes any computers and the computer accessories for free to recycle them!! Find a Goodwill donation center in your area and drop them off!! 0% 0 Votes
