Much %26#039;styrofoam%26#039; these days is made from potatoes ... try getting the styrofoam you have wet. If it seems to %26#039;melt%26#039; then just put it into a large pot of water and let it sit for a few days ... when you come back, it will have disappeared. If it is the %26#039;old fashioned%26#039; styrofoam, try calling an elementary school or middle school near you ... they can use the styrofoam in art classes there, and may appreciate your donation! 50% 1 VoteOther Answers (8)

But we have another option. It acts as a good insulator in the roof space. One can fill up the space above existing insulation, or if there is no insulation use it as main insulation.

Try donating them to an elementary school. They could cut them up and make stencils for art projects. Or to some other type of place. Styrofoam is sold at craft stores, so it%26#039;s nice you would be able to donate such a great amount.
