What are these things called? so there is a field type thing behind my house(probably tick-infested) and i was outside painting a shelf type thing by it. I noticed there was a little thing that looked like half an ant on my hand so i brushed it off, then there was another one and i brushed it off. Soon it started to get red and numb and a little swollen so i sprayed benadryl on it then i could feel it on the back of my knee. i came inside and there were some on my floor. what are these things called?

I only have 2 cats, they are indoors. I think they were small ants....

Could be fleas. That sounds like what my dog had. They are little dark brown bugs and when they bite, they leave a little red bump that%26#039;s pretty itchy. Smaller than a mosquito bite though.

Except for you usually don%26#039;t see them on a floor, because they stick to fabrics most of the time. And they%26#039;re so small its hard to see them. Maybe they were just small ants?

I don%26#039;t think they are fleas... i%26#039;m pretty sure they are just small ants but they are DEFF not fire ants... because those are red and these were black.
