I use http://www.blackseeker.co.uk/ everyday instead of google, because it saves more energy as it%26#039;s black.
I also use http://www.everyclick.com/ to raise money for charities though it doesn%26#039;t have much to do with the environment
I recylce as much paper as I can and I%26#039;m forever turning off lights

Besides buying energy efficiant appliances, we are driving way less that we used to, turning off lights, recycling cans, paper, grocery bags, and electronics, and are very careful to restrict as much water use as possible. All of these things also help cut our bills. But, we (the whole family) also belongs to a watershed group and are active in environmental issues and programs. And yes, we clean roads %26amp; streams. 100% 1 Vote

• I recycle paper, bottles and cans. I don%26#039;t use much electricity, except what I need to, and never wash less then a basketful of laundry at a time. I take mass transit, right now I can%26#039;t afford a car, but I%26#039;ve made the decision that I%26#039;ll never own one. Thank you for what you do, I just wish others would do it too.

  A tour guide at the Wild Animal Park once told our group that by just recycling aluminum cans you are saving the rain forests! Rain forest are dug up to get to the bauxite which is used to make cans.
  
  I also started an e-waste program at work. Anything with a battery, plug or circuit board. I participate in haz mat days by recycling oil, old paint, rubber, and anything else that can%26#039;t go in the trash. PLUS I HARP ON THE KIDS TO TURN OFF THE LIGHTS! • I send Care2 cards for special occasions instead of mailing paper cards.
  
  I only turn on lights when needed.
  I only use phosphate free soaps, laundry soaps etc.
  The dishwasher is only run with a full load.
  I have water saver on my washing machine and I hang dry as much as I can.
