You can%26#039;t physically do anything legally because both are federally protected species. If you touch either one, you are in federal violation of the endangered species act.Report your sighting to the nearest US Fish and Wildlife Service, but if it is a natural situation, it is best just left alone. Just leave both alone. Endangered species laws are to protect wildlife from unthinking destruction by humans, which upsets the balance of nature. If left alone, nature will restore its balance.

you try to seperate the two, take the animal to a shelter to be cloned or bred, and the plant, dig it up, and plant it somewhere safe
