What happens to mirrors? If you throw a mirror away, where does it go? ie, landfills; retrieved for recycling, etc.

Handheld glass mirrors.

If you throw it away it%26#039;s going to end up in the landfill obviously, it%26#039;s up to YOU to put it in your recycling bin or take it to your drop off for recycling which ever you do in your community. Mirrors are glass, so they are able to be recycled if YOU dispose of it properly.
Total amount of mirrors in the trash is small enough that it probably does not matter much unless the silvering is a bad material.
If you throw it away, chances are it will just end up in the landfill like everything else that is thrown away.
Mirror is glass, made of silica it will eventually break down
if you throw in trash where the regualar trash goes
