• Any club would be better off knowing about Peak Oil.
• 1. Many industries are located along a river ,or along the sea shore , and its effluents are dumped into it , to be carried into the sea.
  Are these effluents properly treated ? Is there any environmental agency testing these waters ? Do the environmental agencies have any teeth to prevent water contamination ?
  
  2. Pollution from oil tankers , and commercial ships. Are the maritime authorities ensuring that only safe ships are allowed to carry oil ? Are the hulls suitably strengthened?
