What is it? I found a two part disc. On one side it has a blue transparant top and a solid grey bottom. It is round and ~2+1/2 Inches in diameter. on the inside of the grey bottom it gives the following directions. 1)Cut out lid slot. 2) insert Base in slot. 3)Pull lid back and release.
On the blue plastic transparant top it says as much as I can see printed in Black. It says: #3 of !2
Two cigar shaped objects with exhaust at one end was _____ and from_____ 1952 @ 2400 hours over a tobacco field by two farm hands.
Any ideas?

If I had to guess, I%26#039;d say it was an insect trap or used to catch and record what kind of insects are in the field. 50% 7 Votes

• It sounds like some kind of marker used to mark a place where on the ground for some kind of police scene documentation. There must have been twelve such markers, and you found marker #3..
