I%26#039;m always at home and the noise level NEVER goes down. I%26#039;m a college student, so i need to study. It%26#039;s extremely difficult for me to do my work and to sleep. I%26#039;ve tried all types of ear plugs, but they hurt too much (plus my doctor told me to stop using them).
I%26#039;ve heard that headphones should work, does anyone have any suggestions on what kind of headphones I should use?
Or does anyone have any other suggestions on how to deal w/ the noise?? Thanks.

noise cancellation headphones. Check Bose, Radio Shack, Best Buy. They have a circuit on them that takes ambient noise in using a little microphone, and send the same signal back to your ears, exactly 180degrees out of phase, thereby canceling the noise waves as much as possible. go to any safety supply store and by a pair of ear muffs that go on hard hats fairly cheap and they work
