• do you know what you are asking Gulls lay eggs FISH spawn.Gulls generally lay there eggs on rocky ledges in Northern Ontario they are more and more making colonies on large flat roof industrial buildings and mall roof,no predators and large puddles of roof top water.Gulls are very territorial for nests and make excellent parents their young need a very specific diet they do not leave then to non species birds to raise,that is why you see the very white adults with the dirty white young this time of year.
• In Alberta I observe that most gull eggs are laid in the nests of ducks. But in other areas they find other birds to hatch their young. There are some islands in the north where cormorants are their favourite dupes.
