Where does oil end up after it is cleaned out of the ocean after a major spill?

Best Answer - Chosen by Voters

much of it is sprayed with a surfactant to help break it down so it will sink and be out of sight(out of sight out of mind) oil that is soaked up with straw and absorbent pads are taken to a toxic waste site.To much debris and rogue chemicals to be reprocessed and not that much gets recovered 50% 2 Votes

  • No where very little is cleaned up. Most is destroyed but what they put in the water to clean it up. The rest of it gets stuck to the animals, so we can not do any thing. Only not use the gas fueled cars. 0% 0 Votes
