Oil can and should be recycled, however recycled oil seems to loose some of it viscosity, and is therefore less expensive the second time around.Synthetic oil is not only better for the engine but holds up better and needs to be changed less often, so there is less of it being recycled, or for many people thrown away. jcms 58% 7 Votes

According to Click and Clack, the auto mechanics, synthetic is better. I understand that pro racers use nothing but synthetic. No kind of petroleum based oil should ever be allowed to enter the environment. Oil never wears out, it just gets dirty. So it would be a shame to throw it away and not recycle it.

unless you burn oil... it doesn%26#039;t matter
if your car is burning oil, it%26#039;s horrible for the environment. you should be recycling that oil anyway... if you%26#039;re throwing it out into a field... then i suppose non-synthetic... but why would you? 17% 2 Votes -
Well I know that the CO2 is recycled in plants . The plants recycle the CO2 and give us the O2 .but the plants keep the C. Later when they die there oil is produced. I do not know if the synthetic will recycle..
