Why do people deliberately try to destroy the environment? It%26#039;s just strange. I don%26#039;t get it.

  • Because they don%26#039;t earn 100 tho a year and drive a humpin suv.. they work hard and are forced to live in a world of overpaid a holes 0% 0 Votes
  • They%26#039;re either trying to make a statement saying that they don%26#039;t care about Global Warming, even though they%26#039;re not really the same.

Also, money. If you can get money from destroying the environment and it not having your actions immediately and directly affect you, why not? Right? What they don%26#039;t understand is that it has a HUGE effect on the environment. It%26#039;s such a fragile thing, and one interruption in the way things go can in turn affect everything. It%26#039;s all big-money corporations. 0% 0 Votes
  • Money. That and ignorance. Humans aren%26#039;t particularly smart. Personally, I don%26#039;t get it either. 0% 0 Votes
  • they aren%26#039;t. they just don%26#039;t do all that the radicals want them to do. to the radical, nothing is enough. 33% 1 Vote
  • Mentally retarded people who do not care about the envoironment and think Global Warming is a joke. 0% 0 Votes
  • to annoy people who care too much... its funny cause we can do this to them, what can they do to us lol

its to prove the point that nothing can have a serious impact as the enviroment naturally fluctiates and a normal time period (about 300-1000 years) is whats needed before anything real can be said 0% 0 Votes
  • Why is the moon made of cheese? Why do people kill each others? Why are billions of dollars spent on research and equipment with the sole purpose of killing other humans? To quote the king, %26quot;Just because.%26quot; 0% 0 Votes
  • Because it is stupid and useless. If it was up to me, the environment would be bulldozed and replaced with houses. 0% 0 Votes
  • They don%26#039;t fully comprehend their own relationship with the environment and the effect on everything. They just don%26#039;t care because they think it won%26#039;t really affect them. I think they should care. Don%26#039;t they have family members or others they care about, especially kids who have to grow up and live in the environment they have shaped for the future? It%26#039;s sad. Most people just want to live their lives at the expense of everyone else and the environment. They don%26#039;t care about making a difference. And some people think that they%26#039;re just one person, so it doesn%26#039;t matter what they do or don%26#039;t because to them, their actions are insignificant. Once my dad insisted on driving me to school, and I said I would prefer to walk because I don%26#039;t want to waste gas and contribute to global warming if I could help it. He scoffed and said that I was just one person... what does it matter if everyone else doesn%26#039;t care? That was a few years ago, but the awareness is spreading... slowly. 0% 0 Votes
  • I heard a theory that people simply shut out bad news as a defence mechansim because threats create stress and anxiety. Perhaps it is just easier to behave destructively and to ignore the environment because the alternative requires so much thought and work. Quite a silly perspective however because economic growth will end up costing us more money in the long run any way because you cant eat cars and TVs. Stern Report (2006)
