Why is Mexico City so polluted? Can someone explain to me or give me links to a site that explains the reasons behind Mexico City%26#039;s pollution? (like geographic, demographic, and other reasons)

same reason Los Angeles is
it is a box that retains the smog
And we are talking about one of the most densely populated areas in the world
Also there are no Rules ,they use all the chemicals that are banned in the USA because they are so cheap,

Mexicans are miles from the concept of green behavior
they pollute their rivers with raw sewage .
dump their rubbish on the banks
and burn plastics and tires if there is no tomorrow

Here in Guerrero each town has trash on the sides of the roads at the exits and entrances of the pueblos, because people dump their trash just on the side of the road.

Very few Mexicans even think about what kind of world their kids will inherit.

People keep their houses spot less ,but dump their trash just out side the garden where the kids are playing.

But they dont care ,because they are all going to heaven

• When NAFTA was put into place, it opened up trade between the US and Mexico without regulation or tariffs. However, here in the US, our federal government subsidizes huge agribusiness corporations with tax money. Therefore, these mega farms are able to produce immense amounts of food and sell it cheaply. When NAFTA opened the gates, American Agribusiness flooded the Mexican market with cheap crops (I.E. corn)
  The low prices of subsidized American foods meant that local Mexican small farmers could no longer compete in the globalized free market. They lost their land, and were forced to move to the city in search of work.
