I don%26#039;t know why. The planet was here long before us and has survived many more sever threats and will survive the human species. If it tires of us it will just shed us as it did the dinosaurs and many other species. But it will go on and try out other life forms. The planet may not be able to survive the death of the sun some 5 billion years from now, but its doubtful we could do anything about that.

Yes, I would die to protect the planet, as long as I know that people are NOT going to continue to do damage to the earth and the innocent animals who are in humankind%26#039;s mess. (I am an Iraq War Veteran, so I guess it wouldn%26#039;t be a problem for me) LOL!!
