Would you give up your warm comfortable home and vehical if it meant stopping global warming? and the destruction of this world?

Best Answer

Yes, then I would chop down trees to make a fire for heat. I would kill wild animals for food and fur. I would wash my dishes in the stream with phosphorus soap.

thats the commitment I was looking for. Were well beyond the point of return. If we all don%26#039;t do this...like yesterday you all won%26#039;t have a choice weather you want to or not.

  • The idea that you need to give up living in a home and go live in a cave or the woods to be sustainable is a fallacy. We have the technology and the knowledge to build dwellings that are not only more comfortable, stylish, healthy, and cost effective than they are now but also are carbon NEGATIVE. So really, whether you %26quot;believe%26quot; in global warming or not, the same measures that should be taken to combat that issue would still improve life for humans and the environment in which we live in immense ways. The structures we build are a huge part of that battle.

If we built human friendly communities, that were built with people rather than cars in mind, we wouldn%26#039;t even need vehicles. They would become a costly and inconvenient burden rather than a necessity.
  • Ok If I had to seriously had to give up those 2 items. That would probably be a no-go for me. For one I like my warm comfy bed too much to trade it for %26quot;stopping global warming%26quot;. I like my car somewhat.... Gets me from point A-B faster than walking and biking (car does get better than average gas mileage and I don%26#039;t drive it a lot)

But what about if you found another way to fuel my home to make it more green or whatever you want to call it. As long as I don%26#039;t lose too much in the process I SURE WILL DO IT!

Can%26#039;t wait till they start making some really nice electric / hybrid cars. I%26#039;ll buy em right up but I like Beemers too much as of right now and wouldn%26#039;t give that up for a Prius.

Humans are selfish. Sorry for the truthful answer mate.
  • Look i dont see the prob.

    1. We didn%26#039;t cause global warming it would happen anyway even if we try and fix it... It will happen.

2.Why pass it on to are kids that will depend on tech stuff... We dont take kids camping no more and teach them to make it thru something like that. So you want to put them thru something that we primarly increased.

    3. Why try and stop something that is 100% going to happen and pass it on to people that cant make it.

Why dont we stand up and take it head on. We can prepare for it and get all in place for the worst. So we are ready and move people we enough time to be ready for it. Then turn around and lets say shoot the ice caps with a small nuke. Cause a small ice age if poss and reset cycle. Worse happens at least we would be prepared for it. Ok we might lose hundreds even thousands. But better then millions maybe even billions.

Sounds like a crazy move i know. But we are human we like to take risk and i think it is a risk worth taking. I know i am. Whats is worst poss thing civilization gets wiped out. Well good then we earned it.

Stop trying to change stuff. And be humans.
  • I think we can live comfortably in warm homes and still drive vehicles. However a massive societal shift is required towards greener and more environmentally sustainable alternatives. Comfort and the earth are not mutually exclusive. We can have healthy planet and live comfortabley if we all adopt more sustainable alternatives and invest in green research initiatives.
  • If it meant that my home was the one home that could make the difference I would would do it ten fold As a person to give up something to ensure that human kind could survive I would give up my life. Are you likewise committed
  • I will never give up my 3000sq ft house. Or my SUV.
Global warming is a myth. Something made up by the lefties, to grab power and control from the people.
What ever happened to that whole in the ozone?
  • global warming is just a scenario that the media insists on shoving down our throats. no credible scientists have confirmed that it is a reality. Yo mom
  • I wouldn%26#039;t go THAT far. I%26#039;d just stop using electricity more often, catch public transport and recycle all of my paper (I actually do this already). Little steps can be made to stop big things from happening.
  • if i knew yes.
