Does American Oil and OPEC Oil get mixed together at the refineries?

yes, for those refineries that import foreign oil.
however there are Oil companies that do not import Oil from OPEC.
Chevron/Texaco/Exxon does.
Conoco,/Phillips/Union 76 does not. jcms

• Oil is considered a fungible product in that oil from any source is OK as long as the grade is what you want. Refineries may use US oil one week, Canadian the next and Nigerian the week after.
